Absolutely! Our plastic containers are PP (Poloypropylene) which is considered one of the safest plastics to use for food.
Are your plastic containers microwave safe?
Yes! They are microwave safe and dishwasher safe too!
Where should I store Real Layers frostings before opening?
Our frostings are shelf stable and can be stored in a cool dry place. However, if the room temperature in your home is too warm, store the frostings in the refrigerator. To soften chilled frosting, just simply let stand at room temperature or microwave at 5 second increments, stirring in between, until desired consistency is achieved.
What are Mixed Tocopherols?
Mixed Tocopherols are a combination of the four tocopherols found in vitamin E. Tocopherols maintain freshness and shelf life of food products; a natural alternative to chemical preservatives.
Are your buttercream frostings 100% Peanut/Nut Free?
Oh yes! You can rest assure that our frostings are manufactured in a 100% Peanut/Nut Free facility. We wouldn't have it any other way!

What is Soy Lecithin?
Soy lecithin is a natural alternative to chemical binders; it helps bind ingredients that normally don't stick together well.
Are your buttercream frostings Non-GMO?
No, unfortunately we are not. However, some of our ingredients are non-gmo certified and we continue to search for other non-gmo alternatives so we can eventually become Non-GMO Certified.
Are your buttercream frostings Gluten-Free?
Yes! Our buttercream frostings are manufactured in a facility certified by the Gluten-Free Certification Program.
Are your plastic containers reusable and recyclable?
Yes! They are reusable and 100% recyclable. We care about the environment too!
Where should I store Real Layers frostings after opening?
Our frostings are made with whole foods and contain no artificial ingredients. Therefore, they should be stored in the refrigerator after opening.
Why do Real Layers frostings become firmer in cooler temperatures?
The consistency of our frostings become firmer because we only use 100% real butter and as you know, butter hardens when chilled.
